ok i know it’s the 3rd, but better late than never right?
We had a peaceful voting exercise in Kenya, peaceful announcement of results, and peaceful acceptance of the supreme court ruling of Uhuru Kenyatta as the next president elect. I am so proud of all Kenyans at how far we have come, violence is never the answer and the whole country seems to have realised that now.
I got some new gizmos this month 🙂 A samsung tab 2 and another blackberry. I am absolutely in love with my tab, because of instagram which is awesome by the way, and I can download stuff and watch from it, internet, I do not remember what life was without it.
Foodwise it was a tasteful month, sadly food makes my world go round
literally *chuckles*. Ya’ll should go to Brew Bistro on Tuesdays for build your own burger. You get to choose your own burger for Kshs 1000 and you pay extra money for extra toppings. You have a choice of chips, mashed potatoes, stir fry and I think rice as accompaniments. If you know you are going to do this, please go there hungry because the itis thereafter is so not funny.
I also got to check out Mamas Fine French Patisserie, it’s a cute little pink cafe at the exit of ABC Place Waiyaki way. The interior is gorgeous and the pastries they serve as so delicious. I had my first frappucinno there, and some tiramisu. I will still go back there for macarons, I got distracted the day I went there.
I got to celebrate my friends birthday at Spurs Holiday Inn, note to self, do not sit at a table filled with girls, too much judgement. I think I would have demolished a few more racks :p
Tamambo Karen is also another place I plan on frequenting, their cocktails range from 450 – 700, but the average price seems to be 450 which is just swell. Their food is pretty good too, had an amazing burger there.
My family went down to Naivasha to celebrate my dads birthday. It was a pretty cool getaway, got to bond with the parental unit, relax and I somehow convinced my mum to pose with a duck face, feels like my mission in life is complete 🙂 The greatest moment was surprising my dad with his birthday cake, and seeing how grateful he was for his birthday treat.
I successfully managed to resist most of the temptation during the period of lent. I must admit there were some goals I never managed to achieve, like going to church more often .. sigh. But it’s something I will keep working on. Am I different than I was 40 days ago? I hope so…
Because of fear of violence, I was pretty much holed up in the house. Now it seems like a lot of time was wasted there smh.
The rainy season is here, though there was a time i was longing for it like a month ago, now I wish it would just stop.
It sucks that I cannot be exhibitionist like everybody else due to the fear of being confronted by the people who are not there about why I never told them about anything. It’s honestly so frustrating and exhausting, and I am done.
What I look Forward To In April
Another public holiday 🙂
How was March for you? What are you looking forward to in April?
